I dont know when I started watching "The Wonder Years",(some where around 1990 or something) and fallen in love with this adorable girl. Although the tv show became my fav and the characters became my friend and I could not possible imagine life without them. So many years after the show ended when I saw Danica Mckeller's pic in one of my friends computer screen NOSTALGIA did HURT. I mean it brought back memories of the yesteryears. What a great show (that I'm still waiting for on DVD)
She was the apple of Kevin Arnold’s eye. Gwendolyn “Winnie” Cooper is one of the all time greatest teen girls to ever grace our television sets. All the girls wanted to be her, and all the boys wanted to be with her. Everything about Winnie was dreamy: from the long luscious hair and big wonderous eyes to her sweet innocent voice. She was always just slightly out of reach.
She broke Kevin’s heart over and over again, and we hated her at times—but in the end, we all still loved her. Whether you’re a guy or a girl, Winnie Cooper was the embodiment of First Love: the awkwardness, the intense adoration, and the feeling of devastating loss.
Overall The wonder Years was one of the best TV serials so far which I can still remember very well.
Not just the TV serial but also the soundtracks were amazing..the theme song "with a little help from my friends" from Joe Cocker became huge hit. and few other songs like Twentieth Century Fox - Escape Club, Ruby Tuesday - Julian Lennon, Teach Your Children - Crosby, Stills & Nash, Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison, Will You Love Me Tomorrow? - Carole King - became one of my favorites. I still listen to them and get into the Nostalgia..
